Common questions, plainly answered.
The short version of what Evergreen Training is, who Tony is, and how to begin.
What is Evergreen Training?
Evergreen Training LLC is a personal training service run by Tony Shen. Tony trains you in your home or apartment gym in Northern Virginia, works with whatever equipment is available, and can bring equipment if needed. Every plan is built around your goals, schedule, space, and equipment.
Who is Tony Shen and what are his credentials?
Tony Shen is the trainer behind Evergreen Training LLC. He is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and NASM Certified Nutrition Coach with a B.S. in Healthcare Management from The Wharton School. Tony is a personal trainer, not a physician or physical therapist, so post-rehab training follows your provider's guidance. More about Tony.
Which Northern Virginia cities do you serve?
Oakton, Fairfax, Vienna, McLean, Tysons, Reston, Chantilly, and Great Falls, Virginia. This is the general service area; exact scheduling is confirmed when you book. See the service area.
How does in-home personal training work?
It starts with a free phone consult about your goals, history, schedule, and what you have at home. Tony then builds a practical plan around your space, equipment, and starting point, and comes to you for ongoing sessions, adjusting as you progress.
Is the first consult free, and what do sessions cost?
The phone consult is free. The first-timer special is $50 for a 1-hour assessment and training session to see how Tony works and whether it's a good fit. After that, sessions are $90 for 60 minutes, $130 for 90 minutes, or $60 for 30 minutes, subject to availability. Hours are Mon to Thu 10 AM to 5 PM, Sat 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Do you help with nutrition?
Yes. Free nutrition advice is included to help you get the most from your time and effort. As a NASM Nutrition Coach, Tony focuses on practical fueling habits that support your training. He does not write meal plans or medical diets and is not a substitute for a registered dietitian. For clinical needs, work with a licensed professional.
How do I get started?
